English Language Exemption Exam and Exam Halls
For students who registered at our Faculty for the first time in 2025 and will take English Language I and II courses for the first time, the English Language Exemption Exam will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 15:00. Details are provided below.

INFORMATION NOTICE
The Compulsory English Language Exemption Exam will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 15:00, in face-to-face sessions at the Faculties or Schools where students are enrolled.
- Students who are newly registered at our University and will take English Language I and II courses for the first time may take the exam. This right can only be used once.
- Students newly registered in the English Language Teaching Department of Necatibey Faculty of Education cannot take the exam.
- Transfer students (vertical or horizontal) and students currently enrolled in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year cannot take the exam.
- Theology Faculty students who have successfully completed the Arabic preparatory class or who are exempt from it may take the exam.
- Students taking the exam must bring one of their official ID documents (identity card, driver’s license, or passport).
The exam will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions and will last 50 minutes.
The results of the Exemption Exam will be sent to the Dean’s Offices of the Faculties or the Directorates of the Schools where students are enrolled; students can learn their results from their faculty/school student affairs offices.
According to Article 17/1 of Balıkesir University Associate and Undergraduate Education Regulation, students must score at least 60 points (CC) in order to be exempt from the courses with codes ENG 1101 and ENG 1201.
Students who score 60 or above in the exam will be exempt from the respective course.
Every student who takes the exam is deemed to have accepted the rules and procedures of the exam.
