List of Students Who Have Completed the Maximum Study Period and Maximum Period End Exams

At the end of the 2024-2025 Academic Year Spring semester, students who have completed their maximum duration (7 years), in accordance with Article 44 (c) of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 “At the end of the maximum duration, in order to graduate from the institution of higher education, final year students are granted two additional exam rights for all failed courses…” may benefit from these additional exam rights if they apply.

You can access the list of students who have reached the maximum duration by the end of the 2024-2025 Academic Year and are eligible to take the additional exams here. 

* After the additional exams at the end of the maximum duration, students who cannot reduce their number of failed courses to 5 (five) or fewer will be dismissed from the Faculty/University.

* Exam schedules will be announced on the Departments’ web pages.

* Applications will be made through OBS.

* Information regarding application requirements and procedures is provided below.

Announcement of the list of students eligible for the additional exams: 01 September 2025

Application dates for the 1st additional exam: 02 September 2024

Dates of the 1st additional exam : 04-05 September 2024

Application dates for the 2nd additional exam:  09 September 2024

Dates of the 2nd additional exam: 11-12 September 2024

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND IMPLEMENTATION PRINCIPLES

1. Students wishing to benefit from the exam rights at the end of the maximum duration must apply within the announced dates through the Student Information System (https://obs.balikesir.edu.tr/) Students who do not apply will be deemed to have waived their rights.  No make-up exams will be organized for the additional exams.
2. Exam venue and time will be determined by the respective Departments and announced on their web pages. The exam weight is 100%, and the passing grade must be DD or above. 

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

1. Applications will be submitted online at https://obs.balikesir.edu.tr/ 
2. Students must log in during the specified dates and apply through the Additional Exam Application V2 menu.
3. After application, students must print and keep the application form. For face-to-face exams, this form must be brought to the exam.
4. Additional exams will be held face-to-face.
