Make-up Exams (For Students Who Could Not Attend Midterm Exams Due to Valid Excuses in the Spring Semester)
In accordance with the article stated below under the title "Make-up, resit and single-course examinations" of the Balıkesir University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation;
“ARTICLE 24- (1) Make-up examinations are conducted upon the decision of the relevant administrative board for students who are unable to attend midterm exams and other assessment activities due to valid and justified reasons (such as health issues, natural disasters, death, serious illness of close relatives, overlapping exams of double major students, and other cases deemed appropriate by the administrative board). In order for the excuse to be accepted, an application must be submitted to the relevant dean’s office/directorate within one week following the end of the exam schedule, together with documents proving the valid reason. Students who fail to attend the make-up exam on the specified date for any reason will not be granted another make-up exam.
(2) Make-up examinations are held on the dates determined by the relevant administrative board.”
Make-up Exam Dates:
For the Spring Semester of the 2025–2026 Academic Year;
• In accordance with Article 24 of the BAUN Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation, make-up exams for students who could not attend midterm exams due to excuses accepted by the Faculty Administrative Board will be held on June 1–2–3, 2026.
• The make-up exam schedules will be announced on the websites of the departments. Please follow the announcements published on your department’s website.
Application Procedure:
* Students who wish to request the right to take a make-up exam in the Spring semester must submit the make-up exam application form (together with documents proving their excuse) in person to the Student Affairs Office of the Faculty by the end of working hours on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
* Applications submitted without a completed make-up exam application form and without supporting documents proving the excuse will not be considered.
