Make-up Exams (For Students Who Could Not Attend Midterm Exams in the Fall Semester Due to Excused Reasons)
In accordance with the article titled “Make-up, resit and single-course exams” of the BALIKESİR UNIVERSITY ASSOCIATE AND UNDERGRADUATE EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXAMINATION REGULATION stated below:
ARTICLE 24 – (1) For students who cannot attend midterm exams and other assessment activities due to justified and valid reasons (health, natural disaster, death, serious illness of relatives, overlapping exams of double-major students and other issues taken into account by the relevant administrative board), a make-up exam shall be held upon the decision of the relevant administrative board. For the excuse to be accepted, students must apply to the relevant dean’s office/directorate within one week following the end of the related exam schedule, together with documents proving their justified and valid reasons. No additional make-up exam is held for a student who, for any reason, cannot take the make-up exam on the specified date.
(2) Make-up exams are held on the dates determined by the relevant administrative board.
Make-up Exam Dates:
* The make-up exam dates will be determined by the Faculty Administrative Board and will be announced separately under the Announcements section on our Faculty’s website.
Application Method:
* Students who wish to request the right to take a make-up exam in the fall semester must fill in the make-up exam application form (attaching a document proving their excuse) and submit it in person to the Student Affairs Office of our Faculty by the end of working hours on Tuesday, 25 November 2025 .
* Applications submitted without completing the make-up exam application form and without attaching a document proving the excuse will not be taken into consideration.
