“Best Paper” Award in Japan for BAÜN Academic
Prof. Dr. Pelin Vardarlıer, a faculty member of the Department of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Balıkesir University, achieved a significant international success with her academic study addressing an artificial intelligence-supported model for department-based promotion processes in the field of human resources. Vardarlıer was awarded the “Best Paper” prize at the AASE International Conference on AI, Enhanced Education, and Social Sciences (ICAESNS-5), held in Tokyo, the capital of Japan.
Presented at the international conference held in Tokyo between 21–25 March 2026, which focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence, education, and social sciences, the study titled “An AI-Driven Model Proposal for Department-Based Promotion Processes in Human Resource Management” drew attention with its original approach and scientific contribution. Proposing an AI-supported model for department-based promotion processes in human resource management, the study was deemed worthy of the “Best Paper” award.
Providing information about her study and the achievement, Prof. Dr. Pelin Vardarlıer stated that AI-based models make important contributions to fairer, more transparent, and data-driven decision-making processes, and expressed her pride in successfully representing Balıkesir University and Türkiye on an international platform.
