Balıkesir University: A Strong Future Built on a Deep-Rooted Past

As Balıkesir University, we continue our educational activities as a higher education institution that encourages scientific production, supports interdisciplinary learning, and closely follows current academic developments.

With 14 faculties, 4 institutes, 2 schools, and 12 vocational schools, our university offers students the opportunity to receive education in a wide range of fields, from basic sciences to engineering, from arts to health, and from social sciences to applied disciplines.

Thanks to our career-oriented approach, the average job-seeking period of our graduates has decreased from 10 months to 4.5 months as a result of the employment-oriented steps taken between 2022–2025. This outcome is a concrete reflection of our education policies based on practical training, project-based learning, and university–industry cooperation.
