Faculty Advisory Board Meeting Held
The Faculty Advisory Board Meeting was held under the chairmanship of our Dean, Prof. Dr. Suat Kara.
The meeting was attended by our Dean Prof. Dr. Suat Kara, Vice Dean Assist. Prof. Dr. Tansu Özbaysal, Head of the Department of Business Administration Prof. Dr. Sinan Aytekin, Head of the Department of Economics Prof. Dr. Hasan Memiş, Head of the Department of International Trade and Logistics Prof. Dr. Suat Kara, Head of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration Prof. Dr. Şeniz Anbarlı Bozatay, and Head of the Department of Public Finance Prof. Dr. Fazlı Yıldız.
In addition, our elected members Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk Biçen, Prof. Dr. Pelin Vardarlıer, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Binali Kılıç, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mutlu Yoruldu, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Tansu Özbaysal also attended the meeting.
As external stakeholder representatives, Dr. Deniz Timurçin, representative of Balıkesir KOSGEB Provincial Directorate; Murat Özcan, representative of Balıkesir İŞKUR Provincial Directorate; Tugay Portek, representative of Balıkesir Chamber of Industry; Fatma Akkaş, representative of Balıkesir Provincial Tax Office Directorate; Serhat Şeker, representative of TÜİK Balıkesir Regional Directorate; Pelin Özcan, representative of Balıkesir Chamber of Certified Public Accountants; Dr. Emrah Bozkurt, representative of GMKA; and Kadriye Büşra Dernek, graduate student representative, took part in the meeting.
The rapporteurship of the meeting was carried out by Ertuğrul Emingil.
During the meeting, the Academic Unit Internal Evaluation Reports (ABIDR) prepared by the academic units and the areas open to improvement identified in the PDCA-based activity improvement plans of the academic units were discussed. In this context, evaluations were made regarding quality assurance processes, education and training activities, stakeholder contributions, sectoral expectations, and improvement areas aimed at the institutional development of our Faculty.
In his remarks, our Dean Prof. Dr. Suat Kara stated that the views of internal and external stakeholders play an important role in the academic and institutional development of our Faculty, and emphasized that advisory board meetings are valuable in terms of strengthening the quality culture.
The meeting ended after receiving the opinions, suggestions, and contributions of the board members.
