Palestinian Genocide Addressed in Our Faculty Opening Lecture
Balıkesir University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences’ 2025–2026 Academic Year Opening Lecture was held on September 30, 2025 at the Şehit Burak Cantürk Amphitheater.
The lecture titled “The Palestinian Genocide According to the United Nations Genocide Convention” was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ali Çaksu. In his address, Prof. Çaksu comprehensively examined the concept of genocide within the framework of international law and discussed the developments taking place in Palestine.
The event was attended by our Dean Prof. Dr. Suat Kara, Vice Dean Dr. Tansu Özbaysal, Head of the Business Administration Department Prof. Dr. Sinan Aytekin, Head of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration Prof. Dr. Şeniz Anbarlı Bozatay, our Faculty Secretary Ertuğrul Emingil, as well as members of our academic and administrative staff.
At the end of the event, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Prof. Dr. Ali Çaksu by Vice Dean Dr. Tansu Özbaysal.
We extend our sincere thanks to Prof. Dr. Ali Çaksu for addressing this significant topic that highlights the humanitarian tragedy and violations of international law in Gaza. We also thank all our academics, administrative staff, and students for their valuable participation and contributions.
